How Homeopathy Plus collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information.

Last updated: 23 May 2026

Homeopathy Plus ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and safeguard your personal information when you visit homeopathyplus.com.au (the "Site"). By using the Site you agree to the terms of this Policy.

We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the UK GDPR for visitors from those jurisdictions.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Information you provide directly

  • Contact form submissions — your name, email address, subject category, and the content of your message.
  • Newsletter or comment subscriptions (if enabled) — name and email address.
  • Correspondence — any other information you choose to send us by email or other means.

1.2 Information collected automatically

  • Server logs — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, date and time of visit, and time spent on each page.
  • Analytics — aggregated and pseudonymised behavioural data (page views, click paths, country, device type) collected via first-party server-side analytics. We do not use third-party advertising trackers or cross-site fingerprinting.
  • Cookies — see section 4 below.

1.3 Sensitive information

We do not intentionally collect health, medical or genetic information about identifiable individuals through this Site. Please do not include personal medical details (symptoms, diagnoses, medications, treatment histories) in contact form submissions or comments. If you do disclose such information voluntarily, we treat it with the same care as other personal information but cannot guarantee it will be deleted from server backups for the retention period stated below.

2. How we use your information

We use personal information only for the purposes for which it was collected, namely:

  • To respond to questions, feedback, and correction requests sent via the contact form.
  • To send you content you have explicitly requested (e.g. a newsletter, if you have subscribed).
  • To analyse Site usage in aggregate so we can improve content and user experience.
  • To detect, prevent and investigate fraud, spam, security incidents and breaches of our Terms.
  • To comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests from public authorities.

We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise commercialise your personal information.

3. Disclosure to third parties

We may share information with the following categories of third parties, only to the extent necessary:

  • Service providers — hosting (our Australian server provider), email delivery, content delivery network (Cloudflare), under contractual obligations to handle data confidentially.
  • Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants, auditors, where required.
  • Law enforcement and regulators — where compelled by valid legal process or where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
  • Successor entity — in the event of a merger, acquisition, restructure or sale of assets, subject to the acquiring party agreeing to honour this Policy.

Some service providers may be located outside Australia. By using the Site you consent to your personal information being transferred to, stored and processed in countries where these providers operate, provided they offer comparable protection.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

The Site uses minimal first-party cookies for the following purposes:

  • Strictly necessary — session identifiers for security and spam prevention on the contact form.
  • Performance / analytics — anonymised identifier to count unique visitors and measure engagement.

We do not set third-party advertising cookies, conversion pixels, or cross-site tracking cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings; doing so may impair some Site functionality but will not prevent you from reading articles.

5. Data retention

  • Contact form submissions — retained for up to 24 months from the date of receipt, then deleted unless legal obligations require longer retention.
  • Server access logs — retained for up to 90 days.
  • Aggregated analytics — retained indefinitely (cannot be linked back to individuals).
  • Backups — encrypted backups are rotated and deleted on a 90-day cycle.

6. Your rights

Subject to applicable law you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct any inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Request deletion of your personal information ("right to be forgotten" under GDPR; right to deletion under the APPs in limited circumstances).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent (e.g. newsletter).
  • Lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner or, for EU/UK residents, your local data-protection authority.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us via the contact page. We respond within 30 days.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure or destruction. These include HTTPS-only delivery, encrypted backups, restricted administrative access, and regular security review. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, however; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Children's privacy

This Site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. International visitors

This Site is operated from Australia. If you access it from outside Australia, please note that information you provide will be transferred to, processed in, and stored in Australia, which may not provide the same level of data-protection as your home jurisdiction. The legal basis for processing under GDPR is generally your consent (e.g. by submitting a contact form) or our legitimate interests (e.g. fraud prevention, basic analytics).

10. Third-party links

The Site contains links to external websites. We have no control over the privacy practices of those sites and accept no responsibility for them. Please review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

11. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be flagged with a notice on the Site for at least 30 days. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Site after a change indicates your acceptance of the revised Policy.

12. Contact

For privacy enquiries, access requests, corrections, or complaints, please contact us via the contact page. We aim to acknowledge requests within 5 business days and resolve them within 30 days.
